Overview

What Is a PNP?

Every Canadian province (except Quebec, which runs its own system) operates a Provincial Nominee Program. A provincial nomination adds 600 points to your Express Entry CRS — effectively guaranteeing an ITA at the next federal draw.

PNP success is about precision: each province targets specific occupations, education levels, language scores, and ties to the region. SkyPod maintains live tracking of every PNP draw and updates your strategy in real time.

Eligibility
  • Skilled work experience that matches an in-demand occupation in the target province
  • Sufficient language scores (typically CLB 5–7 depending on stream)
  • Genuine intention to live and work in the nominating province
  • Some streams require a job offer, others are 'enhanced' draws from Express Entry
Documents
  • Express Entry profile (for enhanced streams)
  • Job offer or in-province ties evidence (for base streams)
  • Language tests, ECA, employer references, settlement funds

Frequently Asked Questions

Which province is easiest?

There is no single 'easiest' — it depends on your NOC, language, education and ties. Saskatchewan and Manitoba are often accessible to lower CRS candidates.

Do I have to live in the province forever?

No, but you must show genuine intention to settle there at the time of nomination.

Can I apply to multiple PNPs?

Yes, you can submit EOIs in multiple provinces — but you can only accept one nomination at a time.

What is an Enhanced PNP?

It's a stream that draws candidates from the Express Entry pool — you must have an EE profile first.

What is a Base PNP?

A direct paper-based provincial application that leads to a separate federal PR application.

How long does a nomination take?

Anywhere from 2 weeks (BC Tech) to 6+ months (paper-based base streams).
